Using a tweaked grain bill from Gyle 200 – Harvest IPA but with Centennial hops.

Simpsons Malt – Vienna Malt (EBC 9) – 1000g

Crisp Extra Pale Maris Otter (EBC 3) – 500g

Simpsons Malt – Golden Naked Oats (EBC 18) – 300g

MINERALS:

Gypsum – 10.6g

Epsom Salt – 3.9g

HOPS:

Centennial – 9g / 45 minutes

Centennial – 30g / 30 minutes

Centennial – 60g / Aroma steep for 30 minutes @ 72°C

IBU: 40.46

SRM: 5.03

KETTLE VOLUME: 16.2 litres

TARGET PACKAGED VOLUME: 11 litres

STRIKE VOLUME: 18.12 litres / 186mm @ 69.4°C

SPARGE VOLUME: 1x kettle taken from the strike water

CHILLING VOLUME: 4 litres @ 5°C

MASH: 66°C / 60 minutes

BOIL: 60 minutes @ power level 8

FININGS: 1/2 Protafloc tablet

FERMENTER VOLUME:  litres

YEAST: 1x WLP002 liquid yeast

FERMENTER TEMP: Ambient 19°C

BREWING NOTES:  Yeast pitch after 24 hours at 22°C. Ambient was 19°C but fermenter temp was 21.5°C the following morning with airlock activity (24.8°C by the evening!)

TASTING NOTES: Loads of off flavours from the hot fermentation. Not a good beer.
